Depth of Short Answers

I originally approached the 50-word short answer prompts pretty simply, and just listed my answers with no explanation. I got some critiques for my “Facebook likes” or “laundry list” format, but it was truthful.

My college counselor suggested that I focus on one or two items from each category and explain why I chose them, as to relate it back to ME. Looking at this forum/other online advice, though, I’m not sure which approach I should be taking! Thoughts?

@michlu2, you may have already submitted your application, but I hope my advice can be of help to anyone else in your position. The short answers specifically instruct you to list without descriptions, so I advise following this instruction. Short answers are meant to be short and glanced over quickly. Your counselor’s recommendation should be used for the short essays.
