Describe a Perfect Private School Student

What do you think a perfect student would be like?

the perfect student is the one who knows he is not perfect and works hard to be his best but not “perfect” there grades and sports dont matter

Thanks! I was just curious what people thought.

i have lots of friends at bs, one of them is act is one of the top 5 students at exeter (believe me that is a major feat in itself) and she said that after she stopped trying to be perfect, she exceled

If you would think about it:
Great Grades: A- and A-s at the current school
A solid list of EC’s with hopefully one or two things you are GREAT at ( hooks)
Teacher recs from people who like your character not only your work
Admission Essays that really show who you are… answer the question
Interviews that show who you are - they like outgoing, smiley, spunky ( fit in with the community)
Full Pay ( they do want this)
Legacy - sibling and parent
Letter of Recommendation from a board of trustee
SSAT- Above the schools average… these are probs the least important part of your application!
If you have all of these things I do not think there is a possible way for you to not get it… but you never know!

hadeswisher: looks like you’re banking on:

Full Pay ( they do want this)
Legacy - sibling and parent
Letter of Recommendation from a board of trustee

I think the perfect private school student lacks the money and, to an extent, the legacy and yet remains highly desirable for THEIR accomplishments - not grandpa’s deep pockets. Your profile makes me not like Groton. That school must only care about blood and money for you to be so cocksure that you’re a shoe-in.

Oh come on, no school is going to **** off the million dollar donater it just doesn’t make sense. as long as he’s not an idiot then they should take him. It’s naive to think that it won’t help him, it’s just the (very unfair) way the world is…

hadeswisher - your profile states that you need FA. Surely, your grandparents could pony up your tuition if they’ve donated millions of $$ to Groton?!?

BlueRaven1 - of course you’re correct. But the thread asked what was the Perfect Private School Student. IMHO, it’s not someone who would otherwise be rejected were it not for the cash.

well i can agree with that :)…

Me…just kidding. :D

My mom would not let them pay. Now she got her long lost trust fund. No FA anymore!
