So, future Amherst attendees: what are you like? I don’t mean stats, but what are your interests? Personality? Favorite color/book/clothes/car/passtime/food? Where are you from, and what’s it like? What clubs do you want to join at Amherst, do you party a lot, what are your specific talents…stuff like that.
I’m just curious about what people will be into when I get there.

I’ll start: I’m from (very) rural West Virginia, where everyone like to go muddin, ride four-wheelers, make their pick up trucks bigger, go to church, listen to country music, join the army, and hunt all sorts of poor animals. I’m a very liberal, agnostic vegetarian who likes to hike, play with my pets, hang out with friends, read. Special talents: umm…I don’t have many, but I can eat more than anyone I know. We have an annual eating contest in cross country, both boys and girls teams, and I always win…easily, and by a lot. I like to write, and I think I’m good at it. I’m not much of a partier–i really don’t like the taste of alcohol. Who knows what could happen though? Personality: I’m pretty relaxed and laid back, but I can also get things done. I’m not super-outgoing, but I’m not too shy either. I’m very optimistic and cheerful.
Quirks: I wear flip flops or sandals all the time. Even in the winter when there is snow. I only wear shoes when I’m playing in the snow for long periods of time. I may have to buy real shoes before I go to MA. I have absolutely no coordination–in gym class, I could do every physical fitness thing better than most, but I was HORRIBLE at golf, volleyball, and ping pong, and I have tennis completely blocked from my memory.
