design media arts applying question

im a foreign student at Santa monica college,graphic desin major.
im gonna apply for design media arts.im taking the classes that uc wants.
but do i need a gpa for designmediaarts? or just portfolio.</p>

<p>You earn a GPA based on the grades you receive in the classes you take. The Design/Media Arts major has a minimum GPA of 3.2.</p>

<p>Also, you have to meet the minimum UC requirements, which includes taking 60 units of transferrable courses. If you are not already doing so, you should follow the IGETC plus the pre-reqs</p>
