Destroyer bumps Russian warship in port

“Parallel parking” isn’t a problem. The med moorings are the challenge. In a med moor, the ship drops its anchor while backing into the pier. The ship is secured to the pier by mooring lines from the pier to the stern.</p>

<p>Apparently, the USS Wilbur “bumped” the Russian ship while being backed into the pier by tugs. Regardles of how the incident occured, the CO is responsible.</p>
