I had to start a thread. This is so upsetting to me. Beyond the ignorance and arrogance of the “adult” “men” (children if you ask me!) there’s a young child with them. AND people shooting video of the event.
There’s a real part of me that wanted to see these 2 boneheads slip, fall and be crushed (maybe not to death…maybe) by their own deeds.
What would go through an “adult’s” mind to make them think it’s funny, ok, or anything else? Rhetorical question but still…

I sure hope they catch and fine them heavily. These were grown men! I really want to throw out some obscenities.

The problem is that if they are caught, which I think they will be, they will not be punished nearly enough - the laws just don’t exist.
I hope they are caught. The news report said the little girl was screaming at them? And hoping they face federal charges and fines. What possible reason could they have for such actions?
The little girl called out “Daddy” and twice squealed (screamed?) when one looked like he was slipping along with the boulder - that was when I wished he’d have gone down!
This is what happened to the guys that damaged the rock formations in Goblin Valley, Utah several years ago.
There is hope there will be punishment in the Lake Mead case is they are in fact caught.
Watching the video clip on the news last night made me physically sick! I just don’t understand the mindset of these morons.
They both received probation.
Should at least be punished by having to haul rocks somewhere
100 hours of picking garbage along freeways would be good, too.
On seeing the video, my H immediately said. “They need to get jail time.” There is absolutely no reason for what they did. Even stupidity is not a reason for that.
