It’s a beautiful day to be in Ann Arbor. Enjoy!
Totally envying anyone in Ann Arbor (today or ever). Have a blast and Go Blue!
Let us know if you see any fairy doors.
I am so glad that you are having a good visit. The DIA is definitely a jewel … I used to work right across the street from it, and we would eat lunch in the cafe. I loved walking around the museum after lunch (people who live in our county can get in free).
Left Detroit today (sniff). Ann Arbor was great! Zingerman’s deli was incredible - words defy it. We then walked around Treasure Mart got a few things despite being overwhelmed and then hit the campus. It was gorgeous! We went into several buildings and visited the Museum of Natural history. Regrettably didn’t see any fairy doors but will look harder the next time. Discovered on the drive back a lovely restaurant, the Riverside Wyandotte. It’s past Detroit a bit a few minutes from Ambassador bridge with a great view and lovely deck.It was the end to a perfect day. thanks everyone. Next time Bell isle! And timed for a baseball game!
^^^So glad you embraced and enjoyed the city! And yeah! that you went to Treasure Mart - if you like that kind of looking, it’s the best!
So we all want to know - what did you eat at Zingerman’s??? My brother is there with his family today and they Instagrammed some fantastic looking chocolate malts!
The downriver area (I think Wyandotte is considered downriver - has some gems and the lakeshore has some pretty spots.
DD ordered the “killer”, according to Obama’s review, #2 Zingerman’s reuben. He’d stopped by before giving a speech. DH had a corn beef and I had a Kelly’s Ménage à Turkey. - We shared a potato salad. The home made lemonade was great!
^^ Oh, man - Zingerman’s envy!
They also make a fabulous Swiss potato salad (with bacon and swiss cheese) and a spectacular hummingbird cake.
