Ok, no laughing this is a serious question and I don’t want to be laughed at by the people at the apple store.

I had an ipod nano, but I think it is lost. I know that I can listen to music on my iphone but that’s a little bulky.Clearly I’m not the most tech savy person. What I’d like to do is listen to Pandora on something the size of a nano or ipod. Is that possible?

What kind of exercising are you doing? Are you at home where you can put your iPhone with a Pandora or Spotify app on it, put it in an iHome or something and listen? Or are you at the gym? Or exercising outside???

As far as I know, a nano is only for music through iTunes or music you added to your iTunes (from your own CD’s).

An iPod touch would allow you to download music apps - do they make those anymore??? But not sure how they work if you are outside of a wireless area (don’t think they can use data).

Can you use your iPhone and wear an armband so you don’t have to hold it?

It doesn’t look very beautiful, but I listen to music on my phone which I stick in a fanny pack. I tried the armband thing and hated it. DH has an armband with whatever the teeny tiny i-player is.

No one here is laughing, tired…many of had to be shown by our children! (who then proceed to take whatever device I am asking about and then just do it for me rather than show me, so I learn nothing!)

I want to be able to listen to music while I use the nautilus equipment at the gym. Nothing too vigorus, so I can do the phone in the pocket but it will be a little bulky. I can deal with it. I liked how the nano clipped on, less chance of me losing it…or so I thought. I actually think it’s lost somewhere in the house but good luck with that!

I often walk (or ride stationary bike) listening to podcasts via my Android cellphone - I like the “Freakonomics Radio” series. DD downloaded the Podcast Republic app for me. I download new shows. Lots of other choices too, all free.

I use headphones at the gym. When I walk, I usually just turn volume to high and put the phone in my pocket.

I have a nano , but sometimes I like to listen to Pandora. Most of my working out is on my Incline treadmill so I actually have been using my iPhone since it is actually easier to pass a song there than on the nano…I use shuffle of all of my music and sometimes the songs are too slow or come form my Christmas play list…can’t get too motivated by Vince Guaraldi / Charlie Brown Christmas when trying to work up a sweat
