<p>Hey guys! Here are the Top 10 words from both Direct Hits and Rocket Review. It will be interesting to see if any of these words are on tomorrow’s PSAT. </p>

<p>Direct Hits:

  1. AMBIVALENT - mixed feelings
  2. ATYPICAL/ANOMALY - doesn’t fit the norm
  3. MOCK/SARCASTIC/SARDONIC - ridicule, derisive comments
  4. DEARTH/PAUCITY - scarcity, shortage
  5. PRATTLE - speak in a foolish manner, babble
  6. WRY - dry humor, humor with a touch of irony
  7. UNORTHODOX/UNCONVENTIONAL - not ordinary, avoids customary conventions
  8. PAINSTAKING/METICULOUS - very exacting
  9. AUDACIOUS - very bold
    10 INDIFFERENT - apathetic, lack of concern</p>

<p>Rocket Review:

  1. CONVENTIONAL - customary
  2. UNDERMINE - hurt, weaken
  3. DISMISSIVE - reject someone’s ideas or worth
  4. AESTHETIC - relating to what is beautiful
  5. OBJECTIVE - based on facts
  6. RECONCILE - to adjust to differences
  7. SPECULATIVE - taking a chance, risky
  8. ACCESSIBLE - being able to enter or approach
  9. DECORUM - correct behavior
    10 IMPULSIVE - tending to act on impulse and without thought</p>

<p>um…granted that direct hits says order doesn’t matter. As in word#1 is no more important than word#150…</p>

<p>but yeah these will probably be on there somewhere :)</p>

<p>A post on another PSAT thread said that Direct Hits rocked the sentence completions. I personally used the Rocket Review list and thought it was extremely useful.</p>

<p>Just a few big ones:</p>

<p>DEFT / ADROIT = skillful
EPHEMERAL / EVANESCENT / TRANSIENT = short-lived
DEMAGOGUE = a leader who appeals to emotions
ASSIDUOUS / LABORIOUS / SEDULOUS = diligent
SYCOPHANT = a flatterer
NONCHALANT = apathetic
OBSTINATE / OBDURATE = stubborn, unyielding</p>

<p>^^ godfather are those just frequent PSAT words or are they from a particular list?</p>

<p>They’re ones from my list, which is a combination of RR, Maximum SAT, almost every test in the BB, every QAD for a year, and almost every SAT since October 2005.</p>

<p>Just watched old episodes of GG to relax. My favorite word is CHICANERY(Word 295). If you look google it you will find ChuckBass.com. I am also going with BELEAGUERED (Word 287 in DH), PARTISAN (Word 109, RECALCITRANT (Word 15) and GLIB (Word 55). xoxo you know you love me - lol</p>

<p>Looks like Direct Hits and Godfatherbob scored some great hits! DH got ATYPICAL and Godfatherbob got NONCHALANT. BTW another awesome test for Direct Hits. GERRYMANDER, INNOCUOUS, NONCHALANT, REDUNDANCY and ATYPICAL are all in DH.</p>
