Has anyone used this process to clear their name from the Federal Government Watch List? My son was unable to print a boarding pass online and had to go to the ticket agent at the airport a short time ago - he got the pass but was told his name was on the list. They gave him a brochure advising how to submit his info online to get cleared off the list. (He is now safely through security and waiting for the plane to start boarding. But I’m a major worrier and am picturing him being denied boarding even though I recognize that’s an unlikely scenario.)

He’s never had a problem before and I am now envisioning years of delays (these days, just having to go to the ticket counter is a major hassle). I’m wondering if anyone has gone through this process and, if so, did you get cleared and what happens afterwards - do you still need to see an agent? He has a fairly common name with a common misspelling (similar to Walter Smythe).

DS had a delay getting his drivers’ license several years ago because a kid with the same first name, middle initial, and first five letters of his last name …and same date of birth, believe it or not… had been caught underage drinking in an entirely different part of the country (and I only got that much info from a sympathetic bureaucrat). We cleared his name with a letter from the high school confirming he was at school the day of and the day after the incident. I’m now picturing this other kid … I’d better not say or I’ll end up on the list!

Any info would be much appreciated - thanks!
