<p>Wow. I knew the Abramoff scandal was bad, but OMG. That was just about the most depressing thing I’ve ever seen on TV. Can you say “Culture of Corruption” loud enough? Our Congress is screwed up.</p>
<p>The Republicans should be thankful that Foley has driven the story about Abramoff’s 485 White House contacts completely off the radar screen for the moment. The whole “K Street Project” was one big template for corruption. I think Rove really thinks that once the Republicans got in they’ll never lose again. We’ll see.</p>
<p>It will become more “intriguing” when Speaker Pelosi begins to hold hearings.</p>

<p>Fell asleep during show. I got the gist of what was happening after the first 15 minutes. I woke periodically and Abramnoff racketeering got worse. Caught something about 600+ contacts to the White House.</p>
<p>BTW How did the House Ethics Committee become involved in this. I thought the rules were changed so that it could only meet under certain conditions set by the Speaker?</p>
