That was the same choice I thought. The handshake was full of a lifetime of caring and the hug made her feel awkward

Did anyone think the last one about el niño and the trophosphere was hard? I didn´t get to read it and had to guess them. Boo! Anyone else?

yea that was kinda tough. anybody remember any answers?

I didn´t do them. I just put A for all of them. Ha.

I just skimmed around on the science passage and got all the answers

the harvard passage was really easy for me! I had a slightly hard time with the “el nino” passage, but overall I thought the reading was really easy!

yepp the harvard passage was interesting for me…i really liked it haha.

Does anyone remember the name of the book?

or the name of any of the people or anything?

i said that the father’s handshake did not show enough affection, while the roommate’s hug made her feel welcome, because I think it said something about a “warm” hug

what about the tradition questions/ was she looking for tradition cuz she didnt have any or was she curious to discover new traditions?

i think she was looking for new traditions (wasnt she of Native American heritage?)

I answered caring/awkward also, and that she was looking for new traditions or something.

THE EL NINO PASSAGE WAS TERRIBLE!

oh yea it was. i only did 3 of them. i had to guess on the rest of them. i’m hoping some of them were A’s!

It was definately “the father’s handshake encompassed a lifetime of caring” because she states that she wasn’t “used to the awkward and tight hug” and seemed taken aback by it. The father’s handshake is described as him holding her hand and pushing down firmly, indicating affection.

this was the easiest passage that i have seen on a test. i was sure i was going to get a 36 until i hit the last effing passage. and i didnt even come close to finishing it. DAMMIT! haha

lollipop27 - I don’t remember the choices, but it wasn’t the first one you mentioned. If there wasn’t something along the lines of traditions are important to her or that she’s curious/interested in traditions, then that was it.

lollipop… I put that she was interested in learning about new (maybe it was additional?) traditions…something to the affect that she had her own, but she was interested in learning about what different cultures had to offer her, is how I interpreted that answer. She had her own traditions.

that’s what i put^^^

=)

I really hope I didn’t mess this passage up anywhere… this may be the only time I feel good about how I did on a reading/CR section of a standardized test haha.
