ok…so i worked my way from the back to the front and didnt finish this passage…so what was the answer to the last place she visited? and to the question that asked which one described her roomate

the leon hall or something… it said she was on the way there… i put that she wasn’t competitive

That was the passage that messed me up…I tried just reading the passages that were questioned, but since the passage was cut up in three parts, this did not work, so it messed me up…

I said the last place was going to her dorm room, and I don’t remember the roommate answer

OOH! OOH! i had taht one! lol. THe odds of finding someone with the same boring passage aren’t high, but yeah. the test was horrid lol

agreed with both of those… im me if you want xonicole143ox

That’s it. I put not competitive as well.

yea not competive and last place was that hall or dorm

ok cool thanx…

anything else???

I agree with the above answers. I did this section different then last time. Last time I just skimmed the passages, answered the questions looking back if necessary and got a 28. This time I underlined important parts as i actually read. I felt really confidant so we’l see if i beat myself. I definitely think I beat my last 25 on English…I doubt i beat my last 28 on math though…i spent like 5 minutes on one problem like a idiot and didn’t have time to work out a few that looked easy at the end.

What did you put to the question “what was the difference between the father’s handshaking and the roommate’s hug?” I put “the father didn’t show enough affection; roommate’s hug made her feel welcome”, or something like that. Another choice was “the father’s handshake encompassed a lifetime of caring…” and one choice was that the hug made her feel “uncomfortable and awkward”

I chose the “uncomfortable and awkward” for the hug and “lifetime of caring for the handshake”, because usually the ACT reading answers are the ones that you have to find in the passage. No matter how good another answer is, if it’s not found in the passage, then it’s not right. With that said, in the paragraph about the hug, it went into great detail about how she didn’t know what to do with her hands and how it felt weird, also her father said the words to her “Don’t forget”.

i think i put d for this? whatever that may be

I debated those two choices as well, but I went with her father’s was a liftime of affection.

Another choice was “the father’s handshake encompassed a lifetime of caring…” and one choice was that the hug made her feel “uncomfortable and awkward”

Im with you homie

I put Lionel Hall or whatever for last place visited and not competitive as well. The test was pretty tough.

I put the hall thing, not competitive, and the awkward answer (hand shake)

This was the easiest passage to me from the reading. The last one with the trophosphere or w/e the hell that was…was hard!

Bah, I think I got the handshake/hug one wrong then. I put the one that said something about physical/emotional pain due to callouses or something. What a stupid answer >_<

yeah I put the akward and uncomfortable one too
yayy!
