In June ('08) I decided to get some SAT subject tests out of the way since I had just taken AP courses on the subjects World History and Biology. I didn’t study for them, being my careless self. I did okay in biology (770) but I didn’t even have time to finish half of the World History exam and ended up scoring a 580! I almost DIED, that’s a freakin horrible score.

I was wondering if I blew my college chances? Say I score better on future tests in other subject areas (no way am I retaking world history), will I be okay?
(I’m aiming at Ivy League)

And is there no way to only send certain subject test scores and not the world history one?

Thanks!

SAT scores DO NOT single handedly determine of you are going to get accept or rejected, but they help decide alot.
just take another SAT subject test, Colleges will only consider the two highest, but they will see all of them.

Starting with the March 2009 administration, you can choose and decide which scores you want to send.

The SAT policy is retroactive, at least for Class of 2010 and beyond.

thanks, that was a lot of help. cheered me up a little :)
