I’m already accepted into penn but my 2nd semester senior year grades are bad. up to first semester senior year i had all A’s except for one B. This semester i have 4 A’s 2 B’s and a D+ in art… am i going to get rescinded!!! the only reason i didn’t get an A in art was because i was so bogged down with testing and stuff that i didn’t get my work in on time, even though i did all of it; my teacher refused to grade all my late work.

should i write an explanation to the school along with my final report?? I’m not majoring in art but i read in another thread that penn will rescind you if you get D’s or F’s… yikes! Help me please??

You will not get rescinded. If you got a D in art I wouldn’t worry about it. If the D phases Penn (remember there are students who pull all Cs and Ds their last semester) then they will probably just send you a letter telling you to get your act together. You might be put on academic probation as a worst case thing (though I doubt it). Penn really doesn’t want to rescind your admission. You would have to have really messed up to risk losing your admission.

what about an f? I passed the course, but I recieved a F for my last quarter in English. Would I get kicked out of a special program I got into (Vagelos)?

i doubt it. my school only sends out final grades, so all penn will see is my total c in ap comp sci. its like my only bad grade rest A’s and one B(she gave me an E!!)

But i really doubt theyll kick you out. prob at the worst but that shouldnt worry you. if you got into a dual degree you can shake that off pretty fast i bet
