Did I fill out the course number correctly?

I think I may have made a small mistake entering my classes. What is the course number? If the class is called Math 242, is the course number 242? Because in the course catalogue that I was using to enter my classes, it says the course number is something else (usually a string of 5 numbers or so). Now that I’ve taken another look at it, I’m not sure if I entered it in correctly. If I did in fact enter this wrong, will it seriously hurt me? Is it worth talking to someone? Sorry if I sound a little dumb, but better safe than sorry.
Here’s how it looks

Hi! You entered it incorrectly. For example, it should read, “Math 100”, “Bio 101”, etc.

Good luck! :)

aw man :/. I think I may have entered the CRN number by mistake since on the catalogue, it says course no, but I’m pretty sure it means the CRN number… should I call or email admissions and ask if I can fix this? I’m a little nervous :/

Yes. First, try calling the UC Application Center. If that doesn’t help, contact each individual campus.

I think you are fine. It’s okay to have courses in the 200s. For instance I have english 101 but I also have Econ 201 and 202 and Math 140 and so on.

^No. The OP entered the section number instead of the course number.

^ That is correct. Man, this is really embarrassing :(. Am I screwed? The only reason I did it is because my course catalogue has the section number labeled as “course number” and I was just trying to enter everything as accurately as I could :/. I will try to call. Is it just the number on the UC application website? I will do that first thing tomorrow.

It seems like a benign mistake, so I can’t imagine this would adversely affect your application, aside from having to reinput everything. Just call first thing and get it sorted.

Just wondering, though - didn’t you find it odd that not a single course you took was already in the UC application system? Lol

haha… I probably should have been more attentive while I was filling it out. All I saw at the time was “course number”, so it didn’t cross my mind once to maybe check and see that it showed up… So when I do call and explain what happened, how does it work? Do they open up the app and make me reinput everything? Or do they have to go in and do that themselves? Have you guys had any experience making adjustments after submitting the app?
