<p>It depends, on how well you know the subject material already. If your taking the test in a subject you did not learn in school (self-taught) then you may have some trouble. But if your taking something you’ve already taken an AP/IB course in, breaking 700 is very possible. Make sure your not lazy this time around, study regularly, and you should be just fine. <p>The only advantage to taking the SAT IIs in June is that AP testing occurs at around the same time. If you’re not taking a normal/AP class related to the SAT II subject you are interested in taking, then it won’t matter when you take it. I chose to take an October SAT II and I was still able to score a 770 and 800. All it takes is a bit of preparation (not too much though). Also, if you’re naturally gifted/interested in the subject areas ou are being tested in, preparing for the test shouldn’t be difficult. Sparknotes has some good overviews for the SAT IIs. If you are willing to spend money I would recommend getting a Barron’s SAT II preparation book.</p>
