<p>I want to be able to choose from 3 or more schools come decision time because I have not looked at any of them yet because my parents won’t go until I get accepted, I just want to know if I applied to enough schools.</p>

<p>Yes, Harvard doesn’t have early decision anymore and they never had early action, so prospectives won’t know about the status of their application until early April.</p>
<p>I don’t know what’s important about being able to choose from three or more schools come decision time. You can only go to one. The thing is, only you can decide whether you applied to enough schools. “Enough” is dependent on your goals and needs. For me, I applied to 5 undergraduate schools and that was enough because they were all safety schools (and one match), I knew I would get admitted to all of them and I was only comparing financial aid packages. Someone who was aiming high might apply to 10 schools or more. My younger sister only applied to one, our local regional university, because she didn’t really care and she just wanted to go there.</p>
<p>6 schools is plenty; I think it’s about the average.</p>
