<p>I think a man dressed up without socks looks ummm, not quite right. I feel naked without panty hose, but I never wear dresses so I guess it doesn’t matter. Guess I’ve never had shoes comfortable enough to wear without socks. My feet are also always freezing, so I wear socks 24/7 unless it’s 95 out and then I might wear flip-flops.</p>
<p>I’m not so far over the edge I wear socks with flip-flops!! My ankles freeze in the low cut socks. I’m waiting for cuffed anklets to come back into style Until then, I’m wearing them anyway…</p>

<p>Thanks for the good laugh. I remember wearing the white cuffed anklets with ruffles when I was growing up. I was so sad when D told me ruffles were not cool anymore.</p>
<p>I would think a man with hard leather dress shoes on and no socks might look, well odd, but mostly the shoes that the guys wear without socks are softer leather, Cole Haan makes them that are shoes not boat shoes but soft leather. My H also has a pair of white bucks that he wears in the summer without socks…that’s pushing it alittle i think :-). People always ask where he got them, but he’s had them for a hundred years, although I think Johnson Murphy might even still make them.</p>
<p>I’ve been harping at H and kids to wear socks. D wore Ugg boots all winter without socks and now S is seeing patients, wearing his white coat, dress pants, dress shoes, but no socks. Guess I’m the fuddy duddy!</p>
<p>Still grosses me out…kind of like wearing the same pair of socks all winter. I have taken to washing Ugg boots with Woolite on the gentle cycle.</p>
Until then, I’m wearing them anyway…</p>
