Did not accept admission to UCB, but changed my mind. Options?

<p>My son was admitted to Berkeley Engineering. He visited the school, loved it and thought he would go until he was admitted off the waitlist to Vanderbilt (one of his favorite picks). The engineering program at Vandy is very good (not Berkeley) and the cost is double (we are in state for Cali school).</p>

<p>It’s June 28th. He was accepted into the class of 2016. Can he ask UCB to take him at this point? Is there a smart way to approach this? Are you aware of people doing this?</p>

<p>Best thing to do at this point is to email/call (calling is probably the better option, they don’t respond to emails in a very timely manner) Berkeley and see if they will still accept your son.</p>
