Did Stanford do a ninja edit on the length limit?

<p>When I was starting the college application process I diligently did my homework and copied down the questions and lengths for each college supplement and questions… and I could have sworn that the character length limit used to be 250 characters for the short responses. </p>

<p>I just checked the CommonApp and it says 300. Was I hallucinating, or was it changed?</p>

<p>It was always 300 characters for the little short response things. The word limits for the supplemental essays are all 250 words, so that’s probably what you mixed that up with.</p>
