Just wondering if any of “our” students and/or parents in the midwest
felt the shaking this AM?

My daughter at WashU told me she woke up to her bed shaking this morning. Our local news here on the east coast said it was felt in 7 states.

Yes, my bed was doing the watusi at 4:40am… Best local quote I’ve seen is below…

My wife woke me up. She said the bed is shaking. I said I couldn’t take credit for that and went back to sleep.

I felt it in WI! The stuff was rattling next to my bed.

I felt it in Chicago. It’s was awesome!

My husband is in Chicago on business–I have to ask him!!

My son and I were in New Orleans but my husband (Chicago area) said he felt it and the dog was really frightened!

D said kids at her school (in Ohio, on Indiana border) felt it, but she slept through it. No surprise there.

I slept through one twenty plus years ago here in CT. A rarity. Wife woke me,she thought the furnace had 'sploded.

I asked her if she had checked yet, rolled over and went back to sleep.

Son, sleeping in a dorm at Northwestern (visit), did not feel it–maybe because he was sleeping on floor! I’m impressed that it woke people!

We once had a rare earthquake on Long Island. When I touched the wall of my house it felt like jello wobbling. Very interesting.

My son at IU said he never fully woke up, but had a dream that a big thunderstorm was shaking the house.

It woke us up in Chicago for sure. I used to live in California and my wife is from Mexico, we instantly knew what it was. Impressive. We live on the fifth floor,it was more a back-and-forth than up and down, lasted about twenty seconds, and there was a significant aftershock six hours later.

I felt it to…I was like OMG what in the world??? I am from the Chicago BTW
