I am a senior in high school and I am taking a literature class at a community college for dual enrollment. it is in no way connected to my high school, I go on Saturdays and it’s a 4 hour class. I had my professor write my recommendation letters because I thought that it would look better, and many of my teachers in high school I have problems with. Did this look bad, like I’m avoiding my teachers or something?? Sorry i’m just stressed
Is this community college program affiliated with your high school? if not it would be odd. Colleges usually want at least one rec letter from a high school teacher.
No, the program is not related to the school at all.
It won’t look bad on you at all. A teacher recommendation is from anyone who has taught you, which in your case, includes this college professor. Unless the school specifies that they want a teacher who taught one of your core classes, then you’re perfectly fine.
