first time sat- 2290!! i couldn’t sleep after i got my score haha still up…
800 writing- sorta expected, didn’t think i’d get a PERFECT score cuz i make stupid mistakes alot 11/12 on essay
750 cr- expected, hoped for a little higher like 760 but w/e still happy!!!
740-math- i was like…whoa…that high?? and after going through the discussions i found out that i missed 2, which got me down because i assumed i made more silly mistakes

but yeah pretty much…i believe that you know if you scored good or bad when you walk out of that classroom on test day!! if you feel uber confident, then chances are, your scores are pretty tight

for example, i tried the act just for fun in february, and i walked out of that test wanting to kill myself (haha overstatement) and plus it was raining, and i was sooo depressed
so what was my score?? hmmm pretty mediocre.

I’m freaking out. Is it possible that the scores got all mixed up? Many people had troubles with their score display, and I keep reading about some odd cases…

I did a lot better than expected. In January I got 1990 (610 CR, 700 M, 680 W, 8 Essay) and this time I got 2140 (650 CR, 740 M, 750 W, 11 Essay) with no real preparation between the two other than planning out a few examples to use in my essay.

Has anyone tried to call? If it’s only the CB website that had some problems displaying the correct scores (and not the data base that went wrong), maybe the scores gotten by phone will be more accurate?

Okay okay so I called. And I was told the same scores as the one that appear on the CB website. So it’s probably not a display problem. If something went wrong, its in the data base, which is a bit less likely, I think.

way, way worse :(
No prep, but I am still extremely depressed about this. It’s already the end of junior year, not much of a chance for fixing this sort of a thing. I can’t get it out of my mind!

Better. If there’s some kind of mistake here I’m going to kill somebody! LOL
I’m reasonably confident I can bring my writing score up the second time (don’t intend to take more than twice) but I’m ecstatic about the math, which is not my strong suit. And CR is what I love and what I’m best at, so I am truly happy.

Btw, to all of you people - it’s SO easy to have your self-esteem crushed on this site. Here’s a message for you: YOUR SCORES ARE AMAZING.

My son took the test 2x and had final high scores in M and W of 1270. He was accepted to all 10 schools he applied to including strong private liberal arts schools arond the country(which are unaffordable). His grades are not stellar and his extra curriculars not extensive. That being said he is brilliant, well rounded, kind, decent and able to interact well with adults. His aptitude and enthusiasm shined through his essay and most significantly during his campus tours and interviews. Evan will be going to a state school in Florida primarily because he doesn’t know what he wants to study and we will save his money to spend on graduate school.

His brother is up next (class of 2010). Same scenario different kid. Wants to go somewhere stellar and won’t be disuaded or discourged. I have no doubt he will find a way to be accepted. Scores just aren’t the final measure. Don’t believe all the stuff you read on this site. I just joined this morning and can’t believe how many stressed, self absorbed and short-sighted posters there are.

The measure of success is not which school one attends but what one gets out of the experience. The Ivy grad w/o family $, connections etc is not apt to be anymore decent, well functioning or independent than anyone else.

What I figured. Sorry, Ivy Leaguers, I’m not super SAT masters like you.

600 CR (Thought I got a couple more right.)
510 Math (Knew I blew it here)
740 Writing (11 Essay)

= 1850 total (40 points higher than my PSAT score)

I knew I needed to work on math. I figured my Math score would kill the total, and it did of course…if 600 Math I’d be a bit better off. But I’m riding on the ACT, not the SAT. So -shrug- I’m not sweating it.

I’m disappointed…
My PSAT - 205, 77 Math (Skipped 1 with 0 wrong! made me so mad), 60 Critical Reading, 68 Writing
My SAT - 2030, 800 Math, 620 Critical Reading, 60 Writing with 8 essay

My GPA is pretty bad (3.67) because I’m a lot smarter than that shows (in my opinion), my class rank is 86/1200

The only thing good about this is I can use my 800 Math for everything so now all I’m focusing is writing and reading…

I’m happy, yet disappointed at the same time

2210

CR - 790 (really happy about this)
Math - 690 (extremely disappointed; usually math is my best section…I have no idea what happened here)
Writing - 760 (10 essay) - (pretty happy with this score, since writing is usually my worst section)

I’m going to focus on getting my math score up in May…
