As I said, I’ll be getting a case. Don’t care much about the color. Fortunately have never broken a screen or a back. Have never, and don’t plan to buy a mega-case.

But I like that xiggi.
Most days I use a phone wallet, but when I am hiking or camping I use an otterbox.
When I go out to a concert, I use the case with the extended battery.

An armored tank, indeed… There is always an option to jazz up your precious beauty with something even more precious:

Add custom strass for $1000, and you are good to go.

Hey, I understand the need for extra padding and protection. In fact, that “other” phone that is water resistant might have served me well over the years – if I had one. I had my share on water incidents.

I have always used a silicone case for my iPhone and have never regretted it. With my new gold phone I went with a clear case; I might get bored with that over time and if so, will shop for a new case! My phones also have a screen protector on in; once removed, my old iPhone 4G looks brand new.

Just because I love the Onion, and it’s relevant:

Arggh. At&T store only activated it and we are home trying to sync everything. Trying not to be frustrated… Failing.

Did you have everything saved to iCloud? I turned on iCloud and everything loaded without a problem, including all 3 email addresses. I thought I would manually have to set up my work email, but it on the new phone without a hitch.

The only think left if to activate the actuall phone portion which I will try in the morning so I can go to ATT if the woman at te store was correct. Right now I am just playing with it on wifi.

I just still have my old stupid phone and I can text and call people.

Jym- just Google iPhone to iPhone. Use the cloud.

DH is working on it

Just got home from the Apple Store and had them sync/transfer everything for me. You have to understand, I was going from a 4S to the 6, so there are huge, huge leaps forward for me. I love the predictive texting. It’s almost creepy, though, how accurate it is. The only thing I was disappointed in was that they didn’t have any cases, other than Apple ones, and I’ve generally been very happy with the Speck cases, so I didn’t get one tonight. Will probably just order that online.

Its not as easy as it should be-- needing to udpate itunes accounts, etc.

What? There’s a new iPhone?

Note to self: Fall asleep looking on line at the iphone cases and they run out of the one you had in your inbasket. Settling now for a weird color so it didn’t matter what color phone I picked.

Lol, most people don’t actually notice when they have been conned. That’s why it IS a con. And so many people, not just on CC, have bought into it.

Why is it a con? It’s a product I value and don’t mind spending my money on.

Oh, because I’m drinking the Kool-Aid (dripping sarcasm).

As long as it’s not your money, what do you care what people spend their money on as long as they’ve researched the product and are satisfied with it?

Agreed, teriwtt. They do have a powerful advertising team, but so what? More power to them. If it wasnt a decent phone it wouldnt have become popular and successful.

Is Chanel conning its customers? Nope, it is just brilliant marketing. Raise prices 10-15% per year with zero drop in demand. Brilliant!
