FYI, Verizon - and other carriers - charge a one-time “activation fee” of $30 for any phone or tablet. The cell plan for an iPad is turned on and off through the iPad itself, through the cellular settings.

I have a case for my iPhone 5 not because it will break but so it doesn’t get dinged up. I don’t have a fortress case, just something to protect the edges from nicks and dents.

The auto correct thing from iPhone bothers me the most. Some words I can see it’s wrong but sometimes I didn’t do something right to get rid of it and it appears in the sentence. And the artificial intelligence the iPhone uses to correct words is just plain crap. The words are not even right in the dictionary.

I just disabled autocorrect on my phone. Its under settings>general>keyboard. I am gonna see how that goes. I dictate a lot of my texts so will see what happens there too.

Oh- DH told me over lunch that the phone “bend” testing showed it could potentially bend under the equivalent of 600 lbs of pressure . I don’t understand those pounds force tests-- is this the same? If so, he guy with it in his back pocket who claims it bent might be a tad embarrassed…

He said he heard that bigger # on the morning news but it doesn’t jibe with the CR article…

My question is- for those who purchased the 6 would you buy it again?
My phone is on its last leg and I know I will need to buy a new phone fairly soon.
If I don’t get an iphone I have no clue what I would get. Present phone is a iphone 4.

I went to the Apple store today.I like the gold 6. The ATT store had very long line. I can wait a few weeks until the bugs worked out.I’ve got no one at home to help me if things go wrong.

Yes. I had the 5 and love my new 6. I love the fingerprint thing since our company security makes it lock down in 5 minutes and we have a 6 digit code. It’s a pain.

The 6 isn’t too big, but the 6plus is…the 6plus is almost as big as a Glock 26 compact 9mm pistol! I don’t get carrying a cell phone in back pocket…wouldn’t it get broken or start dialing everyone?

I wish clothing designers change styles so that we can easily carry the phone. If I can put the phone in my pants then I will not be concerned about dropping it from my shirt when I bend down.

It’s the only pocket it fits comfortably in, at least in my jeans & khakis.

Butt-dialing is a thing of the past. To dial someone, you have to swipe the phone ‘on’ first, then hit a few tabs to get to the dialer, then dial… (I usually just keep my e-mail open.)
