<p>If the birdy on 17th was lucky, I would say the 18th is one of the greatest holes any golfer have ever played. With the pain from the knee, he hit those two long shots to get on green. How about that read for eagle!!!</p>
<p>If Tiger is not playing at the top in weekend, I don’t watch golf on TV. I would like to think I am not alone.</p>

<p>My H & I were amazed. Tiger truly is the greatest golfer of all time. I am in awe. What an athlete.</p>
<p>He’s an amazing player. My H loved that it was being played on the west coast so he had time to spend a few hours at the driving range this afternoon, then came home and watched it for 6+ hours tonight. :)</p>
<p>I’m still cheering for Rocco, though, I’ve always enjoyed him.</p>
<p>The best and second-best athletes in any sport are typically separated by a miniscule margin. Olympic sprinters are separated by hundredths of a second. There’s no way to explain how the best golfer in the world could be this far beyond the rest. </p>
<p>Tiger is the best and worst thing to ever happen to the PGA tour. Right now, he’s the greatest show on Earth. But the year that he decides to retire from the tour, an entire generation of golf fans will have only been fans of Tiger-dominated golf. The Tour won’t be able to to sell advertising time to anyone the next year!</p>
<p>I’m not a golf fan and even I was in awe. I was at UCSD which is quite close to Torrey Pines (maybe 1/2 mile) and I could hear the crowd cheer for those shots.</p>
<p>After watching Tiger Wodds today, I realized that I better watch him as much as possible, because there isn’t going to be anyone better in my lifetime.</p>
<p>To watch somebody be that good at something is amazing.</p>
<p>I think the only thing in golf that was close to what Tiger did today was watching Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson go at it for 36 holes in the British Open. Tom Watson ended up winning by a shot. I can’t remember the scores they shot but it was lights out.</p>
<p>Tiger is so much better than everybody else an event like that won’t happen. </p>

<p>I watched it with some of my family, who were gathered for S’s graduation party. It was amazing! During those last three holes, we were screaming with excitement. The man has no peer. But I’m worried about that knee’s ability to hold out for another 18 rounds tomorrow. He admitted to the guy who interviewed him immediately after finishing tonight, that the knee was “definitely getting worse”.:(</p>
<p>He looked like he was wiped out during that interview. I also wonder about how he is going to hold up. If anyone can do it, he can. If he has to withdraw, we’ll know it’s because he absolutely must.</p>

<p>Maybe the pain in the knee is the reason for the miracles. He is a supreme golf thinker but, maybe when there is a bit of pain to pull your attention away just a tiny bit, you are actually liberated enough from your thinking that your swing is better than it would be otherwise??</p>

<p>Celtics win was the capper on my sports week, but this was pretty good.</p>

<p>I think what Player said was that, with the same equipment, a 30 year old Jack could beat a 30 year old Tiger in a match-up. There’s obviously no way the world will ever know. One thing Jack would have to contend with, presumably, would be the increased competition in today’s golf, as well as the increased difficulty of the courses. It’s certainly more difficult to win today than it was when he was in his prime. In any case, it was a pleasure to watch Jack and it’s certainly a pleasure to watch Tiger. :)</p>
<p>It’s Father’s Day and Tiger will be playing in memorium to his dad today…that will take away his pain…he is going to win!</p>
<p>alwaysmom- some think the overall golf field was deeper in Jacks day. By the way I have no dog in this fight I loved to watch Jack and can say the same about Tiger. Those last 2 holes were amazing.</p>

<p>Really was something. DH said it was the most exciting tourney he remembers watching in a long time. I think Tiger and the knee will pull through on sheer determination and will power. Golf is a mind game and Tiger is one of the best at setting his mind.</p>
<p>I hope Tiger’s club selection will improve by tomorrow!</p>
