Didn't do so well in college.

I attended an undergraduate university for a year and a half. I had to leave at the end of last semester, due to not getting good enough grades to keep my scholarships/grants. I was completely unfocused the last semester I was there and ended up having a cumulative GPA of 1.96. I really want to go back to college, but I don’t even know what colleges would take someone with my GPA other than community colleges. I’m going to be leaving for Japan in a few weeks and I’ll be living there for a few years, so I’m trying to find an online school that’ll take me. Are there any online schools that’ll take me?? Or will I just have to put off school until I get back to the U.S. ?

The University of Maryland University College (part of the University of Maryland system) has a fairly reputable on-line program. The school is a pioneer in distance learning, having offered programs since at least the 1960s. As on-line programs go, it’s pretty good.

I don’t know what residency requirements there might be to actually earn a degree.
