Didn't fill out CSS Profile...

Will this put me at a disadvantage for anything? I submitted my FAFSA and applied to JHU, UMD-CP, UPitt, UMich, Northwestern, and Rice.

My parents make well over $200,000 so I didn't really bother with filling out the CSS profile. Seeing as how my only finaid offer so far was $3500/year in subsidized loans from UMich (out of so-far acceptances to UMD-CP and UPitt), nothing is going to change as a result of not filling out the profile, right?

UMD-CP and UPitt don't require profile . Northwestern, Rice and JHU do.

If you don't think you'll get any financial aid, why did you do the FAFSA?

FAFSA is all you need to file. It will automatically qualify you for Federal loans like the ones you got a UMich. CSS Profile usually raises a family's EFC because things like equity in one's home is considered fair game for college expenses. You are extremely unlikely to qualify for any need based aid so there's no point in paying to file the CSS Profile.

Parents. Not to mention it is free.

I didn't know CSS profile is not free. Good thing I didn't waste my money.

Ok im on the opposite side.... I didnt file my CSS profile (yet anyways) and I mean its 25 bucks, thats alot in my condition, is it really needed??? I mean shouldnt the FAFSA be enough to prove to them my family's income???

The reason im writing this is because I do not want to spend 25 bucks to be like HEY MY HOME HAS ALMOST NO EQUITY, AND WE MAKE LESS THAN 30K. What can I do? Maybe call their finaid office?

It's always a good idea to file FAFSA even if you know you won't get aid. One never knows what circumstances could be in following years, and to receive any future aid I believe the FAFSA must have been filed in the first year. So you did well to file that one.
To OP: I believe you are ok with not filing CSS Profile given your family income.
To CCG: Call finaid offices, in your case it would be to your benefit to file CSS (lots of people have it in late, just do it very soon)

CCG - if the schools you have applied to require CSS then you need to fill it out. Schools that require CSS use FAFSA for federal aid but CSS for their own institutional aid. If you do not complete it you will not be considered for their aid. In your case with a fairly low income it would probably beneficial.

I called the University today and they told me there is a was to get a waiver for the CSS profile, anybody know how to do this???

googled and found this
