<p>I applied to be in the Douglass transfer living-learning community (Jameson/Woodbury) but I got placed into New Gibbons instead. Does this mean I’m not part of the living-learning community, just because I’m in a different building than what it states on the Douglass website? I’m only concerned because I’d like to be with other transfers, such as myself…</p>

<p>Ohh, maybe it’s not so bad for me then if most transfers are placed there? The reason I don’t want to be in New Gibbons is because I heard that many freshmen get placed there; I just don’t want to be surrounded by only freshmen since I’m a sophomore. But now that I hear that another transfer got placed there makes me feel a little better and less alone lol.</p>

<p>You might want to contact Douglas and ask what happened. D1 applied to Bunting-Cobb in April, was told at that time that she was in, as it’s typically first-come, first-served if your application is reasonable. Monday she was notified she’s in Katzenbach. Unfortunately the woman responsible for Bunting-Cobb is on vacation this week. She’s not happy, as she really wanted B-C, so she has sent 2 emails asking what happened. Still waiting to hear.</p>

<p>@nj2011mom: Since the school year will begin soon, you might want to hear back as soon as possible. Have you tried calling either Douglass or the Residence Life numbers? I recently called Residence Life (732-445-0750) and the woman told me I was IN the living-learning community that I applied to, so I’m happy now. If D1 is really unsatisfied with her housing, give ResLife a call and maybe they can help you out.</p>
<p>@Bigshiv: Hmm, I think the numbers following the B are the wings? Or maybe building numbers? I’m not sure lol only time will tell us when we get there. By the way, I just confirmed that New Gibbons IS a transfer living-learning community, so I don’t think I want to move anymore haha. My main concern was that I’d be in a place filled with freshmen or upperclassmen; I’d rather be with other transfers such as myself so I can be more comfortable (knowing that the people around me are in the same transfer situation…meaning non-freshmen students, but are new to RU and still learning the tricks and the trades of RU).</p>
