Didn't tell my school I was studying abroad!

A little background info:
I’m currently studying abroad in Norway for the summer, taking 2 courses in politics. I go to UCB, and I am majoring in Molecular and Cell Bio. I don’t need these political courses for my major or for any other requirements, and I have more than enough units to graduate on time. So really, I decided to study abroad because I figured it would be a great way to learn new things in a new environment.

Because I didn’t need these course units, I didn’t bother telling my school I was going to study abroad. So I have a few questions…

Does it look bad/sketchy/weird (specifically to medical schools) if I have studied abroad but do not have the units on my UCB transcript?

If I did not end up transferring my units upon getting back to Berkeley, should I have a transcript/certificate of completion from the Norwegian university as proof that I did in fact study abroad?

If I did end up transferring the credit from studying abroad to UCB, would I not be able to have it show up as Pass/No Pass since I did not specify beforehand?

And finally… am I just really overthinking this??

I appreciate any and all advice/comments/suggestions!!! THANK YOU!
