<p>With spring upon us, my wife decided “we” should clean out the garage. Not being in the mood to clean out the garage I said, sure let’s do it now.</p>
<p>After about an hour she asks me “so, how many fishing poles does one man need”? Let’s see, 2 spinning rods and for fly rods, a 9 ft 2 piece, a 9ft 4 piece, a 7 1/2 ft 2 piece and a 7 1/2 foot 4 piece. So a man needs 6 fishing poles.</p>
<p>Guess I am just lucky she didn’t see the fly boxes…</p>
<p>Well, DH is a saltwater fisherman, so until I went to buy a reel for him for christmas, I had no idea how expensive it was! I do remember when I was first trying out Quicken for our home finances, I called him over and said "Look honey, I can just categorize $$ as sports/entertainment or I can create a new subcategory that’s just “boating/fishing”. He very quickly responded, “you don’t need to do all that extra work dear!”<br>
Hmmmm…should have been suspicious at the time!</p>
<p>I’ve always been happy my H didn’t want a boat or a horse. Have seen both of those be big money pits…on the good side, your wife wanted to get the garage clean. On the really good side, you were there to protect your stuff!!</p>
