And I ran 8 miles to Taylor Swift yesterday (with a little Tim McGraw at the end).

^^^Thanks. A few I’m not familiar with that I’ll investigate! I am always looking for upbeat songs for my running playlist.

We spent all day yesterday removing the old rope lights and installing brand new LED ones on the roof. 90+ feet are installed, and we are still not done! Mr B went to pick up more lights before they are all gone at our local Costco.

Wet and warm morning (do not envy the Seattle Marathon runners!), but the weatherman says that it would not last long. The “s” word is in the forecast for tomorrow -

I just discovered a perfect song for a long, slow run - Reflektor by Arcade Fire:

[Arcade Fire - Reflektor - YouTube](<a href=“Arcade Fire - Reflektor (Official Music Video) - YouTube”>Arcade Fire - Reflektor (Official Music Video) - YouTube)

A few others:

Jet - Are You Gonna Be My Girl (you’ll recognize this, a cruise line used it in their ads)
Young Rascals - Good Lovin’
Dave Matthews - Ants Marching
B-52’s - Roam, Love Shack
U2 - Where the Streets Have No Name

I am not a big country music person, but here are 2 that I use for cooldowns that have personal meaning to me:
Emmylou Harris - Til I Gain Control Again
Willie Nelson - Angel Flying too Close to the Ground

Pretty uneven for me the last week, so now it is back to the schedule. I didn’t gain any weight, though, so at least I have that consolation.

Four miles in the hood.

3.1 mi run, followed by inverted rows +, and intervals (9.0, 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, 9.4 mph) of 1/10 mi each. Fun, but I may feel this tomorrow. I gather my d got in a run wearing her new running apparel today as well.

Snow tomorrow, hm?

I don’t listen to tunes while I run, but if I did I think I’d find this site very helpful for compiling a playlist. Okay, so I like numbers.

Fun run tonight - went out just before dusk, 40 degrees and no wind. Fun to run through the neighborhood and check out everyone’s outdoor Christmas decorations and sneak peeking at the indoor lighted trees ! 3 easy miles - who would have ever thought I would say “3 easy miles!!” Looking forward to a week of NOT holiday eating! Didn’t eat “quantity” but the food types left much to be desired - big breakfasts each morning, late night dessert, my weakness- dips!!! Wouldn’t mind to drop a pound or two before the next holiday binge comes round!!

Deborah, thanks so much for the link to that site- very interesting to see the paces listed. I have a couple days of free downloading on my Spotify account so I think I’ll be exploring this web page.

Great link, Deborah T. Thanks!

That us a great site, Deborah. I can narrow it to country music, too.

I got this little gem during my hike yesterday. From a live Phil Lesh and Friends concert with Trey Anastasio and Joan Osborne:

The house is ready for the holidays! The weather gave us a break, and we rushed to finish installing the lights, but climbing up and down the ladder until the complete darkness meant that I had to run my mileage on the treadmill. I did a Deborah run: 3.6 miles at 7.2 mph, 0.3 miles at 8 mph, 0.1 miles at 9.5 mph  followed by a short cool down run.

Back in the saddle, happily, despite enjoyable weekend.
Sadly, my only form of exercise was a ridiculous 5 hr power shop in which I managed to acquire multiple wardrobes for my seven nieces and nephews, followed by marathon box making. And stacking a facechord of wood.

At one point I was ready to take a break and trudge up the hill but a burst of nearby rifle fire convinced me otherwise  Somebody didn’t get the memo about it now being muzzle loading season only as of yesterday!

I think this is the last year of “fun fashion show” for the kiddies at Xmas. It’s getting too hard to keep things evened up and two of them are in their Tweens and one is particularly difficult to buy for. A few of my sisters are dramatically younger than me, economically challenged, and are single parenting, so the outfits are designed to help them out a bit as much as the kids. But I do understand why my mom switched to money years ago, and as much as I hated it when she did it, can see myself headed that direction :)

Trainer and swim. I was very stiff after all the travel, and am only now feeling more normal. Lots of loosening exercises.

The swim was all free, maybe 2500.

I have given up on eating “clean” during the holidays and will settle for just not completely pigging out.

Arrghhh… No workout for me. I was thinking recently that I haven’t had my yearly bout of benign positional vertigo. It’s been nearly two years. Harmless, but really annoying vertigo following rapid movements. Then, last week I noticed just a little bit of it when I layed back on the weight bench for bench press.

Well, it hit me this morning. Stood up from bed and the room started spinning. That, of course, has a tendency to kill the appetite, so I “intermittent fasted” through lunch. :)

Definitely not in any hurry to workout today. It’s caused by a little crystal getting stuck in the wrong place in the inner ear. There are easy maneuvers – rolling the head quickly over the edge of bed, sitting up quickly, in a specific order – to dislodge the crystal. I’ve started doing those, so hopefully I can make this a short lived bout.

So sorry Idad that sounds very annoying. Hope you can eat the little bugger loose!!

I’ve decided to head out on the pavement whenever time allows in December. Usually I’m on a every other day routine. But extra stuff to do and weather will probably make December a funky month .

That said, even though I ran last evening I decided not to pass up 40 dry non-windy degrees and headed out for a couple more miles tonight. Stretching before and after.

iDad- that sounds miserable. I hope it resolves quickly.
3 miles this morning and 2.6 after work. Trying to make a dent in the final miles for the year.

Hope it resolves, Idad.

In Miami airport waiting for flight to Brazil and focusing on staying hydrated. Hope I’ll be disciplined re working out when there. Did Pilates this morning. Weight isn’t really moving but body is clearly stronger and more flexible so that’s a good thing.

It usually resolves itself in a few days. In the meantime, I just have to move slowly and avoid spinning my head around, bending over quickly, etc.

Last time, I learned about the particular set of movements docs use to dislodge the offender in the inner ear. So, we’ll see if I can “cure” it a little quicker.

Pizzagirl, have a safe trip!! You must have an interesting job with so much overseas traveling!!
