Another good day on food tracking. The key is to keep the snacks in check. A 6 ounce container of blackberries and and ounce and half of crazy sharp cheddar cheese.

Real gift this am. Decided to start my run on the beach and switch to the road when I ran out of beach. I accidentally timed it perfectly and got to see a gorgeous sunrise! Tide was high so ai had to leave the beach at 1 mile, but what a treat! Now heading home to a winter weather advisory.

We’re in the middle of the winter weather warning–freezing rain changed to sleet before it settled on snow. I almost killed myself trying to get to work that turned out to be cancelled. Guess it’s going to be an indoor exercise day!

I exercised outside - hour and a half of snow shoveling and snowblowing plus two doggie walks already today. That workout is going to have to do. Not wanting to venture out in the snow to,the gym.

Deb922 (or anyone) - those nuu-muu dresses look quite short - can you tell me how you tend to wear them?? I’m 5’7 so I’m wondering how much leg I’d be showing!!

Hope MOWC stops by. I don’t have any nuu-muu dresses so not sure how they fit. I would think that they are tennis skirt short, I think you wear shorts or capris underneath by then again I’m not certain.

I have ordered from zuilly before. No problems, you can’t return anything so I only bought stuff I knew would fit. They had naot sandals and I would love to buy a pair but I’m in between sizes.

They are fairly short but definitely longer than butt. I wear them to work over leggings with a sweater or blazer. For running I wear them over track briefs, capris or yoga shorts. They are cute and comfortable and cover most sports bras. Look on the Nuu-Muu site for some pictures or on the Facebook page.

Glad to know your behind is covered. Exactly what I thought - looks like a nice tennis dress. I’d be wary of ordering not being sure of size for myself.

Nuu-Muu customer service is great. It is easy to exchange and they will help you on the phone. I wear a small, and it is not overly roomy at all. All of mine are Small and all fit pretty much the same. Some of the women in other sizes feel that there is some slight variation among patterns.

I’ve been busy, busy, busy…and keeping up with this thread just didn’t make the cut!

Spring break is in one week. I’m upping the intensity of my workouts; although, I’m pretty satisfied with my results from the work I’ve put in over the months.

This week’s wrap up…Ran 5 on Monday and 4.25 on Thurs. Neighborhood walks of 3.3 and 4.3 miles w/ DH on Fri. and Sat. Went to Crowder’s Mountain State park (in NC) w/ DH today. Did steep/hilly 6 mile hike. Wore capris and t-shirt. Temps. today were in the 70’s…woohoo.

Great job, everyone! I think I’m getting a cold, that’s why I felt so iffy after the run yesterday. But my legs and butt are fine. Magnesium or what?

Calories are too low based on the calculator suggesting 1400/day. Sometimes I didn’t bother to eat so I wouldn’t have to write it down and one day was very busy at work. Did 6.2 on treadmill yesterday. I found drinking a hot cup of tea helped with food cravings. More alert in the mornings when not eating lots of junk. I do miss the junk and looked lovingly at the powdered donuts at the grocery store today. Lol. Going to make some casseroles for the week to make it easier to track.

Hope everyone has a great week. Enjoyed the memory of dad/oysters and the thought of warm beaches with sunrises and bike rides.

Packmom, I’m jealous of hiking in short sleeves. We are three months from that around here. On the other hand, we can be outdoors in August… :)

To the basement for me. Had to make sure I still have some lean muscle mass.

This morning, the scale greeted me with the lowest weight I’ve been since 2011 at the rock bottom of my fat loss. I was this weight once in the fall of 2012 and then again today. I’m really kind of shocked that the food tracking is showing up this dramatically on the scale. It’s not a lot of weight, but I’ve been losing at about 3/4 pound a week for the last two months. I didn’t really expect to see this weight given that I’ve built some muscle with strength training and mountain hiking. It will be interesting to see if it continues.

Best exercise today was the single leg squats standing on the weight bench. That’s been a long term project of mine and I’ve been seeing nice progress. I did see heart rates of 84% of my max on sets of 10 reps per leg. Considering it’s a bodyweight exercise, that’s a pretty high heart rate.
