Long time since I’ve been in, but we’ll just say “life happens.” I now live in Dallas, TX working for a Catholic high school. And I just picked up a TRX suspension trainer off Amazon for $130!!

Great to see you post, Hops. :)

Yay, Hops! Great to hear from you.

Mathilda, what is the main purpose you want your LLBean item to purpose?? Running, walking, wearing around the house??? I think the power stretch has been the popular one here on this thread.

Yay, Hops! Glad you are back and good luck in Dallas.

iDad can tell you all about the fleece fabrics. What I have is the power stretch.

Thanks, MIchael. I lost a lot, and it won’t all come back, but I’m still at it!

Beautiful day here; 40 degrees and sunny. More shopping this am, then H and I decorated the tree (finally!) and no one died in the process; got out and did 5.33 miles. Still feel very slow and tired but am determined to get my 100 miles this month.

I am ready for Christmas. The house is ready, presents are all bought and wrapped, lots of baking done. Now I just need some people. It is quiet and lonely here. DH is on a last minute business trip and gets home Tues night. Both kids and their SOs arrive Wed night. I can’t wait!

We did a 5K yesterday morning before DH headed to the airport. It was fun and DH had a PR with a super fast time. We are doing another 5K this coming Saturday with the kids. Tomorrow I’m planning another long run.

Deer on the roads scare me. A dear friend hit a moose (with her car) about 5 years ago and there was no happy ending to that encounter. She’s in a wheelchair now.

Sabaray - you should definitely go for the 5K. What an accomplishment this year - how funny to end with the easiest shortest race!

MOWC - wow, amazing number of races you’ve been in this year, especially with your injuries.

MathildaMae - I bought the polartech power stretch from LL Bean and love it. Totally love it.

C3Baker, so sad about your friend.

Best of luck with weather in the holiday 5ks! Our friends from Chicago were here today and we were remembering my friends 5k near the lakeshore last New Year’s Day - inches of snow, wind, cold - miserable!!! She’s a trooper and showed up - I would have stayed home!

Thanks for the power stretch recommendation. The color/style of the power stretch is the most appealing – is it warm enough to wear outside for dog walks/yard work in temps around 50-degree-ish?

Also, the only colors available in a size large are French blue, hot coral, and light gray – any thoughts on any of those?

Hi hops!

I think it would be OK for 50s if you wore a base layer under it.

I like the blue. I have it in the greenish color.

5 mile run, 1/3 mile cool down walk, plus weights earlier. Need to step up my exercise to keep the appetite down!

I have a teal color. Love it even more than I thought. My favorite fleece.

Pretty! I think it should be ok for a brisk walk when it is not raining. As MOfWC said, a baselayer will help, especially if it gets windy.

After what I ate at yesterday’s Chanukah family celebration, I think I’m ready to hibernate! Just 1 more holiday meal - Christmas afternoon filled with homemade Italian food with my brother-in-law and his family; will definitely need a long bike ride Christmas Day!

Sabaray, what a great avatar! :)

That is one warm blooded avatar running in such a skimpy outfit mid-winter – brrr! Very cute though. :)

I started the Twelve Days of Gluttony this morning with a 6.3 mile run.

I have the polartech hoody in the French blue and love it - it’s a beautiful color. I was too warm running in it this morning with a dri-fit t-shirt underneath. I think it would be great for walking and such when temps are in the 50s.

MichaelNKat - Christmas celebration with Italian food sounds fantastic!

How I’m feeling these days!

Long day at work, one more for the week. Foggy and icy mist - glad I’m not trying to streak. No running today - might be a good night for some planks.
