Costco carries these Coleman chicken meatballs that I love - they are obviously precooked but not frozen so can be heated quickly with a little sauce. I like them for when I get one of those cravings - only 150 calories in four but they are good.
So glad it’s finally the weekend! Bromfield, I’m jealous of your yoga retreat - I would love a Pilates retreat. I wish I could like yoga as much as some of you do!
Yes, sometimes, my body says “I need my protein!” After my Boston run, I ordered a turkey burger, ate the patty, cheese, veggies, and pickle and left the bun and fries untouched!
Ok so I got a little over-ambitious. After about 3,000 steps I hit a sort of wall and one of my knees kind of gave out. So we’re topping out at 3.5k steps today. But it’s OK because I’m still feeling a lot better than I have been for the last few days.
I was planning on trying to go to the local pool (with hot tub and sauna) tomorrow but I feel like I have a cold or sinus infection coming on. Boo
Well. dang! I hope that’s not what I have. Yesterday afternoon my foot felt better so H and I took the dog for a long beach walk. This morning I’m feeling some twinges in that foot, but not too bad. Maybe I’ll lay off the running for a few days, and just walk and/or use the Arc machine.
Holy humidity! Still a gorgeous morning in Ft. Myers. 7 flat miles with 9 flights recorded on the Fitbit. Off to the beach! Food intake here has been pretty bad. My sister always has a lot of snacks and sweets around. 24000 steps on the Fitbit yesterday, with running, dog walking and beach walking.
Hubby had a gift card for Outback Steakhouse, so we used it last night. He had a porterhouse with blue cheese, I had a 7-oz sirloin with garlic mashed potatoes. I almost never eat red meat so - wow, it was amazing! But I’m running a half tomorrow, so it seemed like a good time to load up a bit. Excited for tomorrow!!
Ran 6.5 on the treadmill at the gym. It has taken years to be able to build up my cardiovascular stamina to do this. I guess in addition to being a slow runner, my body is a slow learner Still, I remember claiming on this board that I couldn’t imagine running a whole mile…Perseverance pays. And having a support group like this!
Good luck, Gertrude! It will be awesome. Someday, I will sign up for a race in CA. It will either be Napa or SD. Beautiful places.
Mr. decided that we were short on Fitbit floors, so we went cinderelling last night. This place is pretty flat, so the only decent option was our hotel’s stairwell. Lol. Up and down to and from 9th floor we went!
Well, the ankle is better today and I made it through AM yoga. Still taking it easy and not running this weekend. We have an exercise bike in the basement I rarely use, but now might be the time. H and I and some friends are going to an event at a winery soon, and I will be walking around there.
