Raising my hand half way – I usually charge it at more than 15%, but almost always charge it overnight. (And if this is important info, why don’t hey just put it in the directions?)

I don’t charge mine overnight since I’ve become addicted to the sleep info, but I am having major issues with syncing – and not just once a week, but just about every day. I haven’t officially complained yet but boy, it’s irritating. I think my problem is that it can’t handle syncing to both my phone and my computer. I have to connect it to my computer with the cord, press the button until it blinks off – and sometimes I have to do that twice – before it will sync to the computer.

I used a new gizmo today – the Garmin swim watch. I got it on sale, but still spent a pretty penny on something I will probably use just once a week. Oh, to be obsessed. Anyway – I am horrible at counting laps, I never know how far I’ve swam (compared to all the minute data I have for running) – and now I know. I swam 1.45 miles today! And then lifted weights. Taking a walk with the husband soon.

I had dinner out yesterday, and got a hamburger that – I kid you not – was at least 8 inches high. Huge bun, lettuce, thick slice of tomato and a pile of onion rings. No way that thing was fitting in my mouth. I ditched the bun and the iceberg lettuce, but couldn’t resist the onion rings.

Never heard of NTTAWWT either.

MOWC, congrats on your son’s race. And hope the finger pain stays away.

So I was just out doing some yard work and mulling over the Fitbit thing as I dug leaves out of the bushes…

I also don’t remember anything that says “don’t overcharge!” - I could have missed that info. And I do realize that part of the value of the Fitbit is the sleep functioning - however, I personally will choose “activity counting” - steps, all that - over “non activity counting” - sleep.

I used to charge it in the evening if I was having a little chill time - but then I actually thought I was being more efficient by charging it on my alarm clock USB at night! I just wish the dang thing would sync without so much trouble! I got my weekly summary and it only showed 42,000 steps for last week - hmmm…my average in the winter months is more like 14-15,000 a day! Clearly that got screwed up.

I have only charged mine overnight and have never had sync problems- neither with my Charge or the new Alta. I did not have the Charge HR, though. Do y’all have that one? I have battery anxiety, so if mine even says “medium” I charge it overnight. I’ve never synced it to the computer- just my phone.

I’m another one who usually charges the FitBit overnight.

I have over 15K steps today!

Within WW, Firbit is a bit of a sore point because of how they count activity points - so let’s say I wear a Fitbit all day, I get points just for my errands/everyday walking AND exercise activities; those who don’t have Fitbits got points manually for the exercise activities but they “missed out” on the points from everyday activity. I don’t “eat up” activity points and don’t really do anything with them, but this was an issue for people who did. I’m not sure how they resolved it.

Other than the day my Fitbit updated I haven’t had any problems - mine is the Charge HR. I’m not real interested in the sleep data (I know I don’t sleep well) so I’ve been charging it overnight as well. I’ll stop doing that as frequently! I just find using the Fitbit to be an easier way of calculating intentional, non-running mileage for the 2016 challenge.

Fun TRX class today - another good group of women. Surrounding yourself with consistent, pleasant exercise buddies really makes a big difference in your enjoyment of an activity. Grilled chicken and a couscous/vegetable blend for dinner.

I don’t charge my fitbit overnight but I have had sync problems on and off. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone and haven’t had problems since. It might be a total coincidence though because I’m not sure how they’d be related.

I am finally starting to feel a little more human today. Pain is exclusively in my back. I haven’t been wearing my fitbit all week because it was depressing to see the less than 1k numbers again :frowning: . Tomorrow though, I’ll put back on the fitbit!

Yeah, Charge HR here too. I havent’ done the latest update on my iPhone - the Apple update - I wonder if that would help.

Glad to hear I’m not the only one charging at night time! I’ll end the day with about 20,000 steps but that includes a 3 mile run.

I am jealous of your exercise buddies Sabaray. I’m glad you have them, but wish I did too! Besides my virtual ones here.

Confession time. I did the OrangeTheory then Pilates (an hour in between) and then had 2 hours down time before yoga so I grabbed a bite to eat and pulled my car into the yoga studio parking lot and started to read my book (the one I referenced in the book thread - about the daughter of Marie Antoinette). Next thing I knew - I had fallen asleep and slept for an hour!

Mine is Charge HR. Can’t use iPhone app because my iOS is ancient, and the phone is out of memory to update it. Lol. I am also charging it overnight and take it off every night. Sleep data is pretty much useless because even when I am wide awake, I try to be very still, so the Fitbit thinks I am solidly asleep. Never had issues with computer sync.

I haven’t had problems with the Charge HR. I wear it most of the time, and charge it for about an hour when it gets low.

I googled NTTAWWT too, PG!

I had a big problem today. I intended to run this morning because it was supposed to be pretty cool–50’s. I went to put in my contact lenses and made a HUGE error. I was listening to the morning news, the very bad news. I must have been completely distracted because I picked up the bottle with the red warning cap and rinsed my clean soft lenses not with saline, but Clear Care. For you who don’t wear contacts, that’s the 3% H2O2 solution you are only supposed to use in the special case that “deactivates” the peroxide cleaner. Talk about feeling a burn…the pain in one eye was nausea inducing. I ended up at the eye doctor, and now have a swollen and scarlet red eye and some pretty pricey prescription eye drops. No running for me today, and only a little walk. I’ll be sporting my glasses for a few days. Fortunately there’s no damage to my cornea. I hope nobody here ever makes this mistake!

Oh no! Thank goodness no damage!

OMG, PlantMom. Thank goodness, indeed.

Ouch Plantmom, that hurts! Same solution I use and just getting in my eye from my fingertip if I dribbled some on it when taking my lenses out feels horrible. Glad you will be ok.

Yikes Plantmom, what a mess- you need your eyes!

Oh no, Plantmom! I bet that hurt like anything!

Ouch PlantMom - so glad no cornea damage. Eye injury is the worst - hope it feels better tomorrow.

First track workout with the running group today. I had such a stressful day, I was really feeling it physically. After the 6pm track workout & a good dinner made by DH, I am a new person.

PlantMom - thinking good thoughts for your eye!!

Went for a short run and did a little bit of weights. 15,000 steps today and 55 floors. Still doing the vacation laundry, so I am sure I will add a few more floors with my laundry basket running.

Still doing my morning and evening pushups!
