Diet/Exercise/Health/Wellness Support Thread

Lands End & LL Bean have some good options for swimsuits - very good quality too.

Very positive report, Romani.

This bra is the same color as the shorts I got. Interesting concept - a vent hole and a pocket for a key etc.

Love the color and like the looks of that bra, too.

So is it only me that has trouble with bras like that that do not have any adjusting allowance in the straps? I think that I must have “short” shoulders or something - I am always adjusting cami’s , bras, etc. to as short as possible and then still, they could be shorter. I have a couple similar to BB’s but I have to make sure they are REALLY a snug fit or the straps get “droopy”.

I don’t have that problem with sports bras.

Straps crossing in the back definitely help. I too like my running bras very, very snug.

I have an overwhelming urge to drive to the Lulu store but it is pouring rain here. No break until Saturday! I need an ark. My Seawheeze shorts are being delivered today! I am so excited to actually see them.

Worked with my Pilates trainer this morning - went to a Pilates circuit class last night. Tired and ready for the weekend already!

Sabaray, hope the Seawheeze shorts provide you with a much needed Lulu fix!

Sunny and warmer here today. Wish I could send you a chunk of this sunshine.

60 degrees and there is a BIG yellow thing in the sky here!!! Working of course, so snuck out for a mile walk at lunchtime - wished I had a tshirt, shorts and running shoes on!

Let us know how you like the Seawheeze shorts. When is the race?

Two yoga classes today–did a vinyasa flow class early and a restorative yoga class at 12:30. First exercise since I fell and bruised up my hands and knees. I had planned to get back sooner, but just decided to wait. It was great to get back to yoga.

60 degrees, sunny, and less humid this morning here. Just beautiful. I ran 7 miles feeling good the whole way.

Thanks for the swimsuit suggestions. I just wanted to get something quick–although shopping for a swimsuit is NEVER quick for me, the person with a mismatched top and bottom. Special thanks to Bunsen for her helpful suggestion. I had time to go to Super Target today and found a couple of things that’ll do the trick. Nothing glamorous, but better than fig leaves

Out for a dinner and show tonight, the Carole King musical Beautiful.

I’ve seen Beautiful – it’s a wonderful show. Enjoy!

I swam today – good day for an indoor swim, because our weather feels more like November than May. The temperature outside right now is 44, with a “feels like” of 37! Brrr.

Enjoy your night out, plantmom. That’s a terrific show.

Would like to see some sunshine. Yoga this AM, but that’s all. I need to get another training run in tomorrow AM and it might be on my treadmill.

It was like the sun was fighting to have a chance to stay out today- sometimes the clouds won and there were a few random sprinkles but we got a solid partly cloudy day - progress!

Tomorrow we head over the border to open up the cottage - curious to measure my steps on beach walks - and maybe a run depending how high the water is!

So. Many. Hotties. Of all genders. It’s very distracting.

My gym is pretty amazing, I am definitely bringing down the average.

It’s sort of motivational, though.

Did some cardio after weights. Hoo-boy, it’s clear I need more of that.

The perennial question: which should come first, cardio or strength training?

Late last week, I decided that I wanted to work with a running coach as I needed some discipline and structure in my running that I didn’t have the experience/knowledge to set up for myself. MOWC helped me connect with an individual she knows and last night I filled out a detailed questionnaire about my running over the past year. Yikes. It was really sad! I will be anxious to see what she recommends - hopefully it isn’t “just give up!” I need the help if I’m going to improve at all or simply get back to where I was.

Good article, Michael - that’s a very helpful chart at the end.

More rain this morning - will it never end!

Another entry into the food delivery service - I am checking this one!
