So it “tight” like a soreness or a tweak when you move…???

For me it’s my left hip and hamstring - I can’t lengthen my leg as far out in a stride. I don’t have the same ease of movement on that side. It’s only sore or difficult when I’m trying to stretch it out or extend it. This is what I do to try and stretch out the hip and hamstring - it’s really difficult on my left side.

Got it. Interesting. I’ll have to pay more note of those nuances when I’m doing different exercises.

Yay BB! And yay for me too because I have a blue 235 ordered from REI! Delivery expected next week.

MoWC, I wish you had received better news about your bone density, but am glad you’ve had some improvement and an opportunity for further treatments. Fingers crossed that you’ll get the drug discount.

My ankle is a little sore today, although it’s feeling better after a walk. It’s only 11 AM and already a humid 90 degrees so I have no will to do anything strenuous outside . I may run on the treadmill at the gym this afternoon. I listened to a brief interview with Phil Knight about his book Shoe Dog while walking today. It sounds really good; library CD book ordered. Sabaray, I am having fun with my son here, although his mission of working out everyday and eating as much as he can nudges a lot of tempting calories my way. I couldn’t say no to his Butterfinger ice cream last night, for example

I am happy to be home from my trip to El Paso. Yesterday was a long travel day with a very early morning departure and some airline delays, but I made it home in time for a 5K that we were entered in last night. I ended up with a PR at the race which was surprising.

This morning was a 3.4 mile run with Back on My Feet. It was a good time as always, and such a great way to start the day.

sabaray - I’m glad that you are juggling your running schedule to fit your life. Enjoy the time with your family this weekend.

I hope everyone enjoys their new Garmin 235s when they arrive!

Eek, I’m really really sore today after cleaning out the hot tub yesterday.

On the bright side, I have a nice and clean hot tub to soothe those aches :stuck_out_tongue:

Are you ready for the Fitbit Goal Day, May 21st? What is your goal?

Dean Karnazes has his set to 100,000 steps. Lol, what else is news?

My goal on Fitbit goal day is for FITBIT TO GIVE ME A NEW FITBIT!!!

Didn’t know about this day! I’m thinking to go for 26,200. Using marathon numbers.

I might go for 20000. I hope to run 10 miles and then… we’ll see.

I had a terrible run after work- my legs are dead. I don’t think tomorrow is going to be any kind of goal day for me.

Sabaray, your goal is R.E.S.T. It is a good goal. You deserve it.

20,037 steps today. No run though, back was wonky yesterday so just walking and 9 holes of golf. Got my first ever par on a par 4 hole (now you know what a terrible golfer I am, lol)

Then we went out with the neighbor’s for Mexican and a margarita, now the calories burned are gone with dinner!

^^^Is ok. Often exercise to eat.

I had no idea that today was Fitbit goal day. I am still in Charlottesville with H 's extended family. Bad news is that I am drinking more wine than usual. Good news is that I am walking as much as I can and I did my training run on the treadmill here yesterday. I actually used next weeks interval which was a little more challenging and considered quitting halfway in but did not. I felt great after finishing.

11 miles. Longest run this year and fastest pace (too fast) of the year’s long runs. I really wanted to run for 2 hours or however close 10 miles got me to that. I added on another 1/2 mile at the end to get to 11, but still under the 2 hours. That’s enough. Hot, hilly half marathon in 2 weeks. Today was about 61 and partly cloudy- not bad. My sunglasses (wore the cheaper pair) fogged up a lot. Glad that’s over!

Big round of applause, MOfWC!

Rain and yuck. Can’t wait to get out to drier grounds!

Wheelchair arrived today. I am determined to push myself when in it. I’ve already given my arms more of a workout in the hour I’ve had it then probably the last few months combined.

My goal is to be able to put all of my mobility assistance devices into storage and leave them there but I’m trying my best to be active given what I have to work with.

So I went on a “walk” with Mr R and furchild. Furchild is very suspicious of the wheelchair but she’s already coming around. I can roll around without her trying to bite the tires now

I wonder if fitbit can track how far I roll. I haven’t worn my fitbit in months because it just didn’t seem worth it. I know I can get an app on my phone to track my distance but does anyone know about tracking it on the fitbit? (I have the fitbit charge)

No- the Fitbit will not be even close. You might get “steps” from your arm movement, but there will be absolutely no accuracy. Even crutches is a no-go for Fitbit.

10 mile run scheduled for this morning - I managed to turn it into 11.5 miles with a wrong turn. I run slower than the runners, but faster than most of the other run-walkers, so I often find myself out of sight of any other group members.

Both of my D’s have birthdays next week, so today is spa day with a massage & mani-pedi for all of us, followed by DH joining us for dinner & gelato. A good day!

Thanks, mowc. To the app store I go then!
