Diet/Exercise/Health/Wellness Support Thread

Yum!

 all my friends on this thread are invited! Foam rollers will be available for those who are still sore.

The weather has been so incredibly wonderful here. Today is a little colder and rainy but got a 3 mile run in and it felt great.

This weekend was in the 60’s. Played golf and hiked everyday. It does not get better than this.

Lol, 2015. My foam roller has been my best friend for the last two days.

Warm but beautiful here today. I ran/walked 3 miles (very slowly keeping the HR low) and will walk more with DH tonight. Tomorrow my arms and core are looking forward to a gym day! Legs will have to concede their reign on the priority list.

We had to put our sweet oldest Golden down this afternoon. She was 13 or 14 and in pain and had become incontinent. We’ll miss her, but she was ready to go. We have one more sweet Senior who seems to be doing really well. Sad… We knew we wouldn’t have her for very long, but we got to spend 7 months with her. She had a good life before us (her male human died (elderly) and the mom had Alzheimers and had to surrender her) and I hope we gave her some good final months.

I’m going to run a couple of miles on the dreadmill.

MOWC, my heart aches for you. That is TOUGH no matter what. I imagine she had 7 amazing months living with you - probably the “Ritz” of retirement homes!!!

Back in the 90’s here today. Enough already! Thankful that now I can head to the gym & use the treadmill no matter the time or weather. We’re having tacos for dinner tonight & have a bottle of champagne chilling.

Hugs, MOWC.

Going to yoga soon where I am guaranteed 75 minutes of no election results. I’ll be breaking a personal rule later and having a glass or two of wine on a weeknight.

I had a weekday beer, I have to admit!

Cider here!

Spaghetti here ! Extra parmesan!

This thread might appreciate this. My 24 year old son who is a recreational runner completed his run today - through his small suburb downtown, across the bridge to the next suburb downtown area - holding a campaign sign for his candidate of choice! Never so proud!!!

(he said he got lots of honks but no “fingers”!!!)

Good for him! Glad no one threw anything st him!

Good for your son, abasket! If I could, I would have ran with a a “mass transit NOW” sign! Thank goodness it looks like the trains and bus thing is gonna happen for my kids!!!

Have not seen Michael posting in a while… Anyone know what he is up to?

Great day on the golf course yesterday! Stunningly beautiful – sunny, fairly warm, the course lined with tress still hanging on to bright fall foliage. We all dressed in red, white & blue, there were mini flags at each tee box, and many of the holes had candy in the cups – someone was clearly getting rid of Halloween candy. Just a super fun day with good friends.

Those of you who have been on the thread for a while know I used to run “the hill” pretty regularly. It seemed appropriate to return there today. 3.2 miles of hard climbing. 60 minute yoga flow class followed. Better than a Chik-fil-A binge.

CBBB, sounds like a great day with friends!

Thinking of the Serenity Prayer today. I am doing what I can with what I can control. Ran on the treadmill and then lifted some small weights.

I honestly almost couldn’t get out there this morning. Between last night’s events and losing my doggie, I was just drained and exhausted. I got out there for 2 1/2 miles, which is something. Way to go sabaray!

Interesting study on cadence. Wonder if this will change perception on the 180 is gospel theory.

@FallGirl That’s a great thing to do. I need to keep that in mind.

HIIT workout today with arms + core. Today will be fun and dynamic.
