@MichaelNKat awesome thanks, like I said, I don’t know what the heck I’m doing anymore!
Thanks PlantMom! It’s a 2nd wedding for both of us.
It really helps we have the running thing in common. He came to the finish line at my January 10k with warm up pants and a jacket because he knew I’d be cold.
MnK – I love reading your posts. Even if it’s not a question I asked, I get so much from your responses.
Went to a power (strength training) class at my gym today. Scheduled appointment with a new trainer. Tomorrow is slow flow yoga.
I decided to continue the cleanse menu that I did during the 21 day yoga challenge for two days each week (started 2 weeks ago). I feel great when I follow it–no aches or pains. I love much of Tom Brady’s health routine–like Tom I avoid most nightshades (one exception is tomatoes). Heard on the news today he plans to play football until he’s 45. Good for him.
CD: hugs to you.
Class: Congratualtions on your upcoming wedding and enjoy planning it. I had much more fun planning my second wedding.
Thinking of you, @CountingDown. Hugs.
We are getting freezing rain, sleet and snow today. Then it will cool down with lake effect, so we won’t be losing much snow.
Of course today I have a dermatologist appointment an hour away. Which I made 3 months ago. I’m pretty sure the roads will be ok as they are good at clearing the roads today. Still, I would rather have a better forcast.
Ran three yesterday, today will just walk. I will turn down a chance to swim because I am a wuss. I am afraid it will be too cold and I don’t want to fight for a lane.
That is one thing I don’t miss about living near a great lake - that wonderful lake effect! Be safe, deb.
Really slept this morning but forced myself out for 2.5 easy. My legs are dead but I feel like it will help to run when they’re tired. Or something like that.
Congratulations @Classof2015 .I love that your fiance is also your fitness partner.
Still not 100%, but happy to get up and go to yoga today.
Couldn’t face the howling wind, even though the storm hasn’t quite gotten to my part of town yet. 3.1 reluctant miles on my treadmill. Did some faster stuff and a hill. Getting out of bed is hard…
Last night was a good 5 mile run after work. It was almost light enough to not need my headlamp at the end of the run. Maybe in a few weeks I’ll be able to leave it at home!
We have the wacky warm temperatures with high winds and rain today. Hoping to run tonight after work but not if it’s a monsoon.
Classof2015 - congrats on your upcoming wedding!
Time changes March 12 - 5 weeks away!
Thanks Bromfield – good to hear the 2nd time was more fun to plan! Thanks FallGirl and C3Baker – appreciate it.
Took a day off today but congrats to everyone who made it out in the cold and wet. Or who exercised indoors.
Congrats, @Classof2015!
@MichaelNKat just thought of two times when sweating and burning result in zero benefits:
- hotflashes - once an hour, dripping sweat, don’t lose an ounce; and, priformis pain - glutes and thighs burn constantly, but I don’t lose an inch on booty or thighs, lol Not Fair!
Congrats Class! I would need a running partner, someone to pick me up when I collapse at the 1 block mark
Dear Cheese…why do you have to be so delicious!!!
[justamom5465…step away from the cheese…]
You guys are great – thanks BunsenBurner and MnK! You would have loved seeing him get down on his 63 year old runner’s knees to propose – I thought he wouldn’t be able to stand up again
Thanks Salve – we definitely keep each other going when we’re too tired to talk.
Dear JustaMom – Cheese here. I can’t help it!
Swam and did weights this morning.
I continue to eat too much chocolate. My alternative fact is that chocolate has no calories.
I just had a cup of cherry vanilla Noosa yogurt for lunch (in addition to other things) and thought it was the best Noosa ever. My school cafeteria started selling seasonal mango yogurt. I am in serious trouble!!!
fireandrain- Use me as a good example. I fully committed to staying away from any sweets/chocolate this week. That lasted until 9 am when I went into the break room on my floor to fix my tea and there was someone’s left over Super Bowl treat- something called Mississippi Mud. It’s like a gooey brownie with caramel and marshmallows. I didn’t think twice! I cut off a small piece. I went back 5 times yesterday for more “small pieces”. My alternative fact is that small pieces have no calories and I burn them off walking back from the break room. (P.S. The pieces weren’t all that small, actually…but I didn’t take the whole thing, so there’s THAT!)
I have an appointment after work so I sneaked on down to the treadmill here at work to get in a couple of miles. Done for the day!
Just received a guilt trip text from Garmin Connect— “This Tuesday is looking a little off”
