Dietitian Graduate Programs

I am choosing between programs: one is an Ivy League and the other is a non-ivy league with amazing breakthroughs and research in the field of nutrition/dietetics. They are both accredited programs, and will both get me to my ultimate goal of becoming a registered dietitian. But there is no ranking system for ACEND accredited programs, so it makes it hard to compare one to another in the grand scheme of the field. I am not sure if any programs are held in higher regard than others…

Does anyone have any input of what I should do? I am leaning towards the non-ivy program because I like the program more, but the other university is an Ivy League school… Is it crazy to turn down an Ivy League degree?

If you like the non-Ivy program more, choose the non-Ivy. The Ivy League is an athletic conference, and that’s even more true at the graduate level than at the undergrad level. While most have good programs in many fields, there are tons of other universities - both private and public - that have excellent programs (sometimes better than the Ivies) in the same fields.

Do you have any professors at your undergraduate institution that you can ask about this?
