<p>Hello, I was wondering if there is a significant difference between Linear algebra and its applications third edition and fourth, because i am planning to sell my book to my friend and I want to know if it will still be of use to him this quarter since they changed it to the fourth edition.</p>
<p>There’s a pretty high discrepancy, if I remember correctly. The 3rd edition still has a few questions that are the same, but most of it’s been updated and/or ordered differently in the 4th. Technically he would still be able to use it for the class; it would just be a big hassle to find the corresponding problems for homework. There also may or may not be a pdf copy of the entire 4th edition online somewhere.</p>
