Arizona State University has ACT Residual like just about every week apparently, should I be taking that instead of waiting till June to retake it? What is the difference between the two? Thanks.

noone knows?

"ACT Residual testing at ASU is used to help determine eligibility for undergraduate admission as well as admission to the W.P. Carey School of Business. Unlike the ACT National test, ACT Residual test scores are valid only at ASU. "

Yeah I got that, but is it exactly like the ACT? is one easier than the other?

anybody have any idea at all? bump??

I need to get a 25 or higher on the ACT i believe to gain direct admission into finance at ASU this fall. I only scored a 1050 on my sat however that was 2-3 years ago and I hear that the ACT is easier than the SAT. Anyone taken it before and have any insight on it? Thanks.

It usually depends on the person taking it. But getting a 25 isn’t too hard for most cc’ers

bump…

The ACT residual is a real ACT (but usually an old retired ACT) that you take at a college. The results usually only valid for entrance at that college and sometimes placement in certain courses at that. It is generally not valid for outside scholarships and merit aid and often not for institutional merit awards either.

You would need to check with the school if the residual score would enable you to get into the program you are interested in.

If so the same residual test is sometimes used for several months at a college so you would possibly be able to retake it a couple of times which should enable you to increase your score. Though the school may have rules about how much time must pass between retakes.
