<p>COP2800 is java for non majors, so it will teach to a more beginner level. People who take 3502 need to have a strong foundation in programming, as it is essential to their major. Most EEs/etc don’t really program that much, and what they do they pick up on the go. COP2800 tries to combat the high drop rate of COP3502</p>
