<p>Hi everyone! Well, as the question above says, what’s the difference, for example, between Gruber’s Complete SAT Guide and Gruber’s Complete SAT Math Workbook. Does the workbook cover the lessons more extensively? Does it have anything more than the complete guide? The same thing goes for the writing and critical reading workbooks. I want to know if there is any difference in this in Barron’s, Kaplan, the Princeton Review, McGraw Hill’s, or Gruber’s.</p>
<p>Oh another thing, Is Gruber’s Word Master the same as the vocabulary stuff covered in the complete guide? because I think that the Word Master book is more extensive…</p>

<p>Books that are relevant to only one section of the exam, obviously elaborate on the section more extensively. Some people for example, have high math and writing scores, but low reading scores. Therefore, it’d be a waste of money to buy an entire complete SAT guide book, when you could buy one that specializes in your weak sections.</p>
<p>Oh, and I’m talking in terms of extensiveness rather than price, i.e. the workbook in Critical Reading, for example, covers the material more extensively than the part on Critical Reading in the complete guide.</p>
<p>Also, if someone is planning to study the whole three sections extensively, and the same material is covered in the complete guide, then it’ll be much more cheaper to buy the whole guide. You see where I’m going at?</p>
<p>They really don’t cover more extensively. You will find the same strategies and lessons in both. The workbooks, however, have tons of problems on just one section that you need help with. The critical reading workbook, for example, as a lot of fill ins and reading passage practice sets, but nothing on math and writing. Get a complete guide, (THE SAT BLUE BOOK IS THE BEST!), and a workbook if you find you are struggling in one certain area. But if you want to focus evenly on everything just get the whole guide, not a workbook. Again, don’t waste money on any complete guide other than the Collegeboard Official SAT study guide.
