I just took my first practice for the new SAT and got a composite score of 1340. However, my math score was 750 compared to a 590 in the English section. I was wondering if colleges look mainly at your composite score or would this large gap be alarming?
Nobody really knows how colleges will use these new scores, but if they were used anything like the scores on the old SAT, the gap might indicate some weaknesses.
Yes, I’m quite sure colleges will look at those individual scores and that your 590 in English will need to come up if you want to be seriously considered by very selective schools.
