I realize the ACT has a science section, but fo the other sections which appears easier and with fewer tricks. Are the essays scored about equivalently? Thank you

There’s are several differences. In general, the ACT has easier, straightforward questions, but very tight time restrictions. You have more time on the essays and the topics are usually very simple (Dec test topic was along the lines of “Should homework be abolished?”) If you want to know more, do a search

Google the differences, you’ll find a lot.
