Have a great day!

Are you asking what the differences are? The financial aid priority deadline is usually for early decision applications, and the financial aid deadline is for all the rest.

Not necessarily. Schools using ED will often have a financial aid ED deadline, a financial aid priority deadline, and a financial aid deadline.

The financial aid priority deadline is the date the school wants a completed financial aid file on the student in their FA department to be considered for the first round of normal financial aid awards (non ED).

The financial aid deadline indicates the date which no more applications will be considered for institutional funds.

Always, always, always get your paperwork done by the priority deadline.

Agree with ^^. Priority deadlines are nothing to do with ED. (My daughter’s school has priority deadlines and does not even have ED).

Priority deadline - date to apply by to be considered for and have the best chance for all aid. Some aid is very limited so meeting the priority deadline gives you more of a chance if you are eligible. This is not just for institutional aid but also for some limited federal aid such as SEOG grants, Work Study, or Perkins loans (all have very limited funding). Missing the priority deadline means you get considered for what, if any, $$s are left after those that meet the deadline have been awarded aid.

Deadline - last date to be considered for aid, especially institutional. However federal aid such as the Pell grant and Stafford loans don’t really have a deadline.

Meet priority deadlines.
