I have been in Accounting for small to mid-sized companies for 20+ years. While I don’t usually hire kids right out school I have done so in a few instances. I would never ask about SAT scores. I would not really be that interested in GPA. Now tell me you passed the CPA exam and I would be impressed.
But most of the companies I have worked for are not in the market for the best/brightest as there usually is not a quick path to move up in the company and we are not paying top dollar. On the other hand we are not requiring a crazy amount of hours either.
